There are some exciting things happening now and coming soon in the computer world!

Windows 7
As I mentioned, unless your computer crashes, I would wait for the 4th quarter of this year, when Windows 7 should be available, to purchase a new computer.  In my opinion, it may very well be the best operating system Microsoft has ever produced.  It has lots of great features, including touch, but more importantly, it just runs like a charm.

Google Search
We talked about the new Google Search features including the Wonder Wheel.  I demonstrated many of the features and you can find a full explanation on the Seminar Links page.
I also showed how certain terms bring up Joyce's website - www.miss-music.com.  Why not go to Google and try some of these terms yourself?  (Search without the quotes)

Safari
I demonstrated the Top Sites feature of the Safari browser.  You can find a feature page under Seminar Links.

Bing
Microsoft is going to try and steal some of Google's thunder with their new search engine, Bing!  Starts on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 - be sure to check it out!

Browser

• Remember: a "browser" is software which converts the real web - which is made up of code - into something you can easily view and understand.
• Types of browsers include: Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera.  There are other browsers but these are the most popular.
