R.I.P.

According to statista.com, in July of this year, 83% of the computers on the Internet were running the Windows Operating System.  (As an aside, Microsoft says more than 500,000 machines are running Windows 10.)  That’s a staggering percentage.  It’s likely that neither Paul Allen nor Bill Gates could truly conceptualize such a feat.  Yet, these two men managed to revolutionize the computing world.  Whatever device you’re using to read this blog post – desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone – you are holding more computing power than those original computers which took up entire air-controlled rooms.

Three days ago, on October 15, 2018, Paul Allen passed away.  The trail of the paths he trod will not fade away, however.  Besides Microsoft, his life was full of other, also important, adventures.
