Yes, I have both an Android Smartphone and an iPhone. However, my iPhone is my constant companion. (Only my wife, Joyce, is with me more!) I use it for texting, for Social Media, for the weather, for banking and for traveling. Why, on a rare occasion, I even use it to make phone calls!
Generally speaking, I’ve been happy with the various iPhones I’ve had over the last few years. Currently, I have an iPhone X and it’s worked pretty well. Unfortunately, since the last iOS update, 13.3, I’ve found myself having to charge the phone several times a day. I used to get through the entire day (most days) and never had to charge it until nighttime. Now, the battery life sometimes only lasts a few hours.
Oh, I know what you’re thinking: “He probably has a lot of apps open.” No, I don’t. Unlike many of my customers’ phones, you’ll never pick up my iPhone and find a dozen apps open in the background. In fact, you’ll almost always find NO apps open except when I’m actually using them.
Granted, many apps perform activities in the background even when they are closed. But, I’ve checked all that and eliminated what I didn’t need running. Besides, I’ve actually not made any changes since the iOS 13.3. update so the battery life should be the same.
I’ve reported the issue to Apple and even uploaded logs so they can see what’s happening. (I’ll let you know if I receive a response but I wouldn’t hold my breath!) I’ve also received technical emails from other companies and see that I am not the only one experiencing this issue.
Why am I sharing this with you? Just in case you own an iPhone and are seeing the battery life going downhill, you’ll know you’re not alone!
