Let’s Explore Google Forms

  • In a browser, go to www.google.com. Make sure you are signed in to your Google account.
  • In the upper right-hand corner, click or tap the 9-dot icon.
  • Scroll down until you find “Forms.” Click or tap the word.
  • Google Forms should now appear!

  • Click on the plus sign. When the new blank form appears, give it a name. For my example here, I’ll call it “Computer Quiz.” Under the title, you can make some font changes like Bold, etc.
  • Next, if you want, add a description for the form. I used the sentence: “Let’s see how much you really know!” Again, there are some font options if you want to use them.
  • Where it reads “Untitled Question,” click there and write your first question. For my example, I’ll use “Which hard drive is faster?”
  • On the right-hand side, there’s a drop-down menu that gives options for the kinds of answers that can appear. In my example, I’m going to use the multiple choice.
  • I filled in three answers: A traditional hard drive; a solid-state drive; a Tesla.
  • At this point, I can require an answer by sliding the switch. When I do this, the person filling out the form cannot skip giving an answer.
  • Once I’ve finished all my questions, including asking for information on the person filling out the form, if needed, I can click or tap the Send button in the upper right-hand corner.
  • When the “Send Form” appears, I can email an invitation, I can acquire a link and send it that way or I can embed the quiz on a webpage, if needed.
  • Once I send the quiz out, Google will keep track of the responses and I can come back to my form and see what kind of answers I’m getting.
