I want to warn you about Windows 11 and malware. As you know from reading my post, “Windows 11: Developer’s Edition,” <\/em><\/strong>Windows 11 is available for testing.<\/a> In fact, maybe you’ve even watched my YouTube video titled “Windows 11<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.” But there’s a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fake Downloads<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It’s unfortunate but it’s a fact of the Internet – scammers never miss an opportunity. These bad guys know people are curious about Windows 11. With that in mind, hackers and others from the dark side have set up places where people can download Windows 11. The problem with these downloads is that they contain adware, malware and\/or trojans. Many of them don’t even install Windows 11 at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How To Avoid Windows 11 And Malware<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As of this writing, only the Developer’s edition and the Beta edition (just released) of Windows 11 are available. These editions are ONLY obtainable through the Windows Insider Program<\/a><\/strong>. If you attempt to download the new Operating System (OS) anywhere else, you take a very high risk of having your computer compromised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About The Windows Insider Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are a few things you should know about the Insider Program. First, it’s free. Second, you should not install a developer’s or a beta edition of a new OS on your primary computer. There are often things that don’t work properly or are totally missing in these early versions. If you depend on a computer for your daily online activities, don’t install either of these versions on it. Instead, if you have an extra computer you’re not using for your daily work, use that as your test computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Old Adage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to avoiding getting malware with your Windows 11 download, there’s an old adage that fits. “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” Yes, to get the real version of the OS, you must have a Microsoft account and you need to take some steps to join the Insider Program.
