The answer to this question is what I like to call the &#8220;Microsoft answer.&#8221;  <strong><em>It depends!<\/em><\/strong> (If you&#8217;ve ever attended one of my live seminars, you&#8217;re familiar with this answer!)  Let&#8217;s take a look at the pros and cons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-columns advgb-columns-wrapper\" id=\"advgb-cols-f9e9cc51-c07d-4050-83e4-28429922ab94\"><div class=\"advgb-columns-container\"><div class=\"advgb-columns advgb-columns-row advgb-is-mobile advgb-columns-2 layout-12-12 tbl-layout-12-12 mbl-layout-stacked gutter-20 vgutter-10\" style=\"max-width:967px\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-column advgb-column advgb-is-half-desktop advgb-is-half-tablet advgb-is-full-mobile\" id=\"advgb-col-03cf5c6d-f32c-4cc8-b9d8-9d1b3428b9cd\"><div class=\"advgb-column-inner\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reasons-to-scrap-your-computer\">Reasons To Scrap Your Computer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tablets weigh less than computers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tablets are easier to carry around than most laptops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With so many apps available, you can do banking, credit cards, and so much more<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There aren&#8217;t all the wires usually associated with computers, especially desktops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can use touch to accomplish tasks while many computers do not have touch capability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-column advgb-column advgb-is-half-desktop advgb-is-half-tablet advgb-is-full-mobile\" id=\"advgb-col-6cb40af4-8ef3-4755-9442-03d7939f7713\"><div class=\"advgb-column-inner\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reasons-to-stay-with-a-computer\">Reasons To Stay With A Computer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Storage space (hard drive) is more reasonably priced than tablets.  For instance, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/ipad\/compare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an iPad with a 512 GB hard drive <\/a><\/strong>has a starting price of $1399.  A <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.4kcc.com\/blog\/computer-specials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">15.6&#8243; laptop with a 512 GB hard drive<\/a><\/strong> can be purchased for less than $900.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keyboards are generally larger and easier to use than on a tablet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not all companies make apps for tablets making it more difficult to complete a task on a tablet vs. a computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The smaller size screen may make it difficult for people with visual impairments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-comparing-the-pros-and-cons-of-scrapping-your-computer-for-a-tablet\">Comparing The Pros And Cons of Scrapping Your Computer For A Tablet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">When you look at the comparison above, you shouldn&#8217;t answer the question &#8220;Should I be scrapping my computer for a tablet?&#8217; by counting the number of items I listed.  Instead, you need to review each pro and each con and decide what&#8217;s important to you.  For some people, the small screen would be a deal breaker.  For others, extreme portability might be the reason to say goodbye to your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">One final area to look at when trying to make this decision is cost.
