During the presidency of Donald Trump, you heard a lot about TikTok – the little app that allows people to create brief (15-second) videos with music, sound and video effects, filters, text and more. “Shorts” is YouTube’s response to TikTok. For most, these videos are entertainment – people showing themselves dancing, lip-syncing or just doing crazy things. I’ve been playing with Shorts but the ones I’ve made have been educational and I don’t appear in them at all. I also created them on a computer rather than on my smartphone so their appearance is slightly different than the normal. Still, I’m sharing two of them in this post. During the pandemic, people searched high and low for ways of entertaining themselves and apps like TikTok and places like YouTube helped. If you have a Google account, smartphone with the YouTube app, and a little time on your hands, give Shorts a try. Just click on the plus sign (+) and then Shorts. (See pictures below.) Play around with it and have some fun. Just don’t get addicted! LOL
