iOS15 Is Coming!

iOS15 is coming! The Beta version is out and I’ve installed it on my iPad. In this post, I’m going to share two features you’ll find in the new Operating System (OS).

Do You Own An Apple Product?

If you own an iPhone, iPad, iWatch, AppleTV or Mac computer, there’s a new Operating System headed your way. There are some neat things coming your way so this post will give you a heads-up on two of them.

I’m in the Apple Beta program and I’ve installed iOS15 on my iPad (iPadOS 15). Remember, some things can change from Beta to the final release so everything I share isn’t gospel. Still, this is Beta #4 so it’s going to be pretty close to the final product.

Widgets

With iPadOS 15, widgets appear right on the Home Screen. You can edit the Home Screen, hit the plus sign (+) and add more widgets. It’s a fast way to get to information that you use often. Here are some screenshots showing the widgets and how to add more:

Here, you can search for other widgets and add them to the Home Screen, if you so desire.

iOS15 Is Coming! – Quick Notes

This is one of my favorite features of the new OS. Let’s say you’re on a website and you want to make a note of something on the page. Or, perhaps you want to copy a link on the page. Quick Notes comes to the rescue. There are two ways to utilize this feature. First, you can simply swipe up diagonally from the lower right-hand corner of the iPad screen. A note will appear and you can type on it, etc. Second, you can highlight text or a link on the page and the option to add a quick note will appear. Let’s have a look:

My Favorite Part Of The Quick Note Feature

Look what happens when you go back to the same site where you created a Quick Note:

When you return to the page where you created the Quick Note, it appears in the lower right-hand corner so you can tap on it and bring it up, if needed.

Yes, the Quick Note is easily available when you return to the page where you created the note.

See All The Notes

Of course, to review all your notes, you simply tap the Notes App which is on the main menu and they appear:

More To Come

These are only two features of the new OS. I’ll share more in future posts.
