Pin A Tab
Did you know you can pin a tab in your browser? What does that mean? It means if you have a webpage that you use often but you don’t want to make it your Home Page, you can pin it to the left of all of your tabs. (In the picture above, the pinned tab is the small tab at the very left.) Every time you open that browser, the pinned page will appear all the way to the left. To use the pinned tab, just click on it and the page will appear.
How To Pin A Tab
Pinning a tab is easy. Just right-click on the tab of the page you want to pin. Then, choose “Pin” from the drop-down menu. Voila! The page is now pinned. You can unpin the page at any time. Just right-click on the tab and choose “Unpin” from the menu.
It’s A Miracle
It’s very rare that browsers all have the same function performed in the same manner. However, when it comes to pinning tabs, the process is the same. What I explained above works in Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and Tor.
Group Tabs
Did you know you can group tabs? This is another handy browser tool when you’re working with a lot of tabs. For instance, say I was searching for Cairn Terrier information. I could right-click on any tab related to Cairns and create a group, choose a color for the group and name it Cairns.
Then, I would simply right-click on any tab I wanted to add to the group. Once I had all the tabs grouped together, my tabs would look like the picture above, right under the Group Tabs heading. (You can see that in the image above – just click on it if you want to see a larger image.)
The option to have group tabs doesn’t exist in Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi or Tor. However, you can group tabs in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and Safari. Grouping tabs is especially helpful when you are searching various subjects. If you’re like me, it’s not unusual to have 10 or more tabs open in a browser. Being able to group them keeps me organized.
