In this post, I’m sharing some of my Audible Library books.
My Audible Library
Joyce, my wife, loves to read books – real books. You know, the ones you can hold in your hands. Despite her extremely busy musical career, she finds time to push through books at a pretty good pace.
Unfortunately, reading real books doesn’t work for me. I’m not as disciplined as Joyce at making time to read a real book. Additionally, I often doze off pretty quickly when I’m reading the written words! But, audiobooks are a different story. I can listen to a book while driving; while waiting for an oil change in the van; or, any time I have downtime.
If you haven’t tried Audible books, I highly suggest you get a (Click or tap here:) membership. Let’s have a look at the books I want to share with you today. If you’re interested, just click on a book cover. Remember, if you purchase through one of these links, I may receive a kickback. However, even if that weren’t true, I would still highly recommend these books.
Biographies
I always love learning about people. I like biographies and autobiographies and these are three of my favorites from my Audible Library:
With his recent passing, you will understand why his book is #1 in Audible sales right now. The fact that you will hear Matthew read this book, makes his story even more poignant.
If you want to know how the richest man in the world thinks and learn where he came from, this is the book for you!
Joyce and I are big fans of the Reba TV show. That made this selection pretty easy. Plus, it’s told by Reba and some very special guests.
Computer-Related Books
I’m in the computer business so, naturally, I’d have these books in my Audible Library. Duh!
Sadly, we recently lost the man described by The New York Times in 1995 as “the nation’s most wanted computer outlaw.” Fortunately, Kevin left us several books that help us keep safe online and not get scammed. He went from being chased by the FBI to helping them capture others and stopping hacker attacks.
You might wonder why this book isn’t listed under biographies. It’s because of how Sam resisted the use of computers in his business. By the way, this is one book I just couldn’t “put down” i.e., stop the audio.
This is another book that might be in the biography category. Still, how could I not include a book by the co-founder of Microsoft in this section? Even if you don’t like computers or Microsoft, you should get this book to learn what Paul and Bill Gates did at the beginning of it all!
Miscellaneous Books In My Audible Library
Some books don’t fit nicely into a particular genre. With that in mind, here are three other books I find in my Audible Library!
This is a fascinating book told by one of the Secret Service men who protected Mrs. Kennedy during her years in the White House. There are so many interesting insights you’ll be surprised and maybe even shocked by some of them. This was another book for which I just couldn’t “turn off the audio.”
Have you ever asked yourself these questions: Who are the rich in this country? What do they do? How do they invest? How did they get rich? Can I ever become one of them? If you have, you need to check out this book. I haven’t finished listening to it which may explain why I’m not a millionaire yet! 😂
Whether you love or hate President Trump, you have to admit that the 2016 presidential campaign was crazy. This book tells the inside story as seen from a member of the press – Katy Tur. She says that President Trump first tried to charm her and, when that didn’t work, he berated her. Listen to this book and find out for yourself.
Conclusion
I have lots more audiobooks in my Audible Library and, in the future, I’ll share some more of them with you. If you’re better at listening to books than reading them, I highly suggest you check out some if not all of these I’ve shared.
By the way, if you do like to read books rather than listen, click or tap on the pictures above and you’ll have the option to purchase the book that way, too.
