There are many great features about the Internet. One of those is the ability to almost instantly interact with people all over the globe. Language isn’t a barrier as there are translator apps that allow you to communicate with people when you don’t speak or write their native tongue. Access to others isn’t an issue, either, as we have Social Media apps, Skype, FaceTime and a plethora of other ways to meet and talk with people. Time of day, however, is not so easily overcome.
As an example, I have friends on InstaGram who live outside the US. There’s one friend in Thailand and another in Italy. If I want to chat with them or call them directly, I need to be aware of the time. There are various ways to find the time in their countries compared to my time here in Florida.
I could ask an assistant – Alexa, Cortana, Google Assistant or Siri. Simply by using my voice and asking a question, they can tell me the time in another city, state or country.
But, if those assistants aren’t around or I just don’t feel like talking, I can set up my Windows 10 or my Mac computers to support multiple clocks.
On my Windows 10 computers, I can set up different clocks to appear in my taskbar and on my start menu. This means, at a glance, I can see what the time is the time zone of the friends I mentioned above. If you’d like to see how to use this feature in Windows 10, I’ll be posting a video later this week. If you subscribe to our YouTube channel today, you’ll receive a notice when we post. Just click HERE to subscribe.
If you’re a Mac user, you can add clocks, too. It’s a bit different than on a Windows machine but I’ll be posting a video for that later in the week, also. Be sure to subscribe to our channel. The link is in the paragraph above.
