Windows 10 Keyboard Shortcuts II

In this post, we’ll learn a few additional easy keyboard shortcuts for Windows 10. (We’ve already shown you some in our post from September 11, 2019. Find them HERE.)

Windows Key

Want to get to the Start menu quickly? Just hit and release the Windows Key and it will pop right up!

Windows Key plus the letter R

Need to run something like msconfig? Just hit the Windows Key plus the letter R and the Run window will appear in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. (Don’t know what msconfig is? Just type that in the Run window and click OK. Once you’ve had a look, you can just X out of the window which appears.)

You want to log in to us through our Remote Technical Support icon but you don’t want to lose all the windows you have open. What do you do? Just click the Windows key plus the letter D and you are looking at your desktop. (The windows are minimized – not closed so nothing is lost.) Hit the same combo again and you’ll be right back where you started. Try it!

If you know me at all, you know I’m a major “right-click” guy. One of my favorite right-click menus is the one on the Start Menu. A quick way of getting to the menu is to hit the Windows Key plus the letter X. Remember, when you get a right-click menu, you choose from that menu by left-clicking on your selection.

That’s it for today! Just like last time, I’m not sharing any more Windows 10 keyboard shortcuts until you try these. After you give them a shot, comment below and let me know if you were successful and whether you’ll find any of them useful!
