I had the privilege of seeing Zig Ziglar in person on three different occasions. He was the quintessential motivator. If you Bing or Google his name, you’ll find tons and tons of his quotes and stories. I remember specifically that I had taken one of my friends to see and hear him. They were at a mental low in their life and they were even hesitant to go with me. They gave in and went anyway. Zig had no sooner gotten onto the stage when he looked out at the large crowd and, in his best Texas drawl, uttered the words, “YOU were born to win!” It was as if he knew my friend was coming with me and that they needed to hear that exact phrase.
One of Zig’s famous quotes is: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” For most people, it has always been a challenge to stay motivated and the pandemic has added to our inability to think good thoughts and remain positive. Many have been depressed by months of isolation and fear. It would be nice if we had someone – like a Zig Ziglar – who would call us every day and remind us that all is not lost. Since that’s unlikely to happen, we can find help on our phones and tablets.
That leads me to my app pick of the month:

The app is available for both iPhone and Android. (Download from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.) You can set a time during the day for the app to share the “Quote of the Day” with you or you can leaf through the quotes and even mark those you like as “Favorites.” The app is free but you can upgrade to get rid of the ads, get unlimited quotes, be able to search quotes and more. Three options are available – monthly, yearly or lifetime.
Why not give the app a try? Download it today and take it for a spin. Oh, and just so you know, I don’t get a kickback on this app, I just like it and wanted to share it with you.
