A new Firefox browser is coming June 1, 2021. Here’s what Mozilla has to say about it:

A new Firefox is coming your way on June 1 with a fresh look designed for today’s modern life online. We pored over the browser’s user interface pixel by pixel, measured the value users were getting from our massive library of features, and ultimately streamlined the Firefox experience to be clean, inviting and easier to use on every device.

Here’s a look inside the changes to the Firefox browser:

Do You Need A New Firefox Browser?

First, if you already use Firefox, you’ll automatically get the update. Everyone may not get the new version on June 1st, but it will be pushed out in the near future.

Should you get the new Firefox browser if you don’t already use Firefox? Maybe. Here are some thoughts on the subject which I wrote back in 2019.

Whether you own an Apple, Microsoft or Linux product, you should be interested in knowing why it’s a good idea to have multiple browsers installed on your devices.

Here’s a secret you might not know: website builders (like us) have to build their sites to work in different browsers. This can sometimes mean a lot of coding for the page. If a webpage creator isn’t willing to put the code in for certain browsers, their page may not work correctly when someone visits using that particular browser.

Another reason you might want to have multiple browsers is because of the extensions. Don’t be afraid to play with browsers other than your default one.
